Summer is a great time to participate in camps and workshops at UNI School of Music! To learn more about our summer offerings, follow the links below. 

Camp Musicmania (Community Music School) - June 10-14, 2024
At Camp Music Mania, campers (1st-8th grade) spend five amazing days engaging in fun activities exploring music, drama, and art. A willingness to learn, be creative, and general silliness is encouraged.

Jazz Combo Camp - June 16-21, 2024
A week-long exploration of jazz music for high school students, including performances, workshops, jam sessions, master classes and more. 

Audio Engineering for Educators - June 24-25, 2024
Today's classrooms are equipped with technology to enhance learning and instruction. Audio equipment in the schools can come in many forms — from sound reinforcement gear to computerized digital audio recording. Learn the skills that audio engineers use for capturing the best performances from your students. 

RockShop! I & II - June 26-27 & June 28, 2024
These courses will provide teachers with the tools and resources to bring student-centered, culturally responsive, and inclusive music education to students. The RockShop Modern Band Workshop is designed to teach the skills, curriculum, and network to successfully run a modern band program at any grade level or music classroom. 

Panther High School Drum Major, Colorguard, and Leadership Workshop - 2024 TBA
A one-day camp to prepare high school drum majors, colorguard, and student leadership for the fall marching season. 

Amp Camp - July 21-25, 2024
Amp Camp is an innovative summer music camp at the University of Northern Iowa School of Music covering popular music styles including hip-hop, rock, pop, country and R&B. All skills levels and abilities welcome! 

Summer Orchestra Workshop - August 12-17, 2024
Join the UNI School of Music string faculty and Cedar Valley Chamber Music for a summer orchestra workshop, open to string students who have completed grades 7 - 11.
