Music Career Day

UNI Music Career Day is designed for juniors and seniors in high school who are considering a career in music. This free event will include informational breakout sessions on various music careers and the programs at UNI that can lead you to them. Participants will also have the chance to sit in on classes in their chosen area of focus, visit ensemble rehearsals including Choirs, Jazz Band Combo, Orchestra, and Panther Marching Band, meet with current students, and experience first-hand what it might be like to be a music major in college.

- 8:30 am - Check-in begins in the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center lobby; activities browsing fair
- 9:00 am - Admissions/School of Music overview
- 9:30 am - Student panel
- 10:00 am - Music specific campus tours
- 10:40 am - Career-specific breakout session #1
- 11:40 am - lunch in Piazza
- 1:00 pm - Students: attend music seminar; Parents: Q & A panel with UNI faculty
- 2:00 pm - Career-specific breakout session #2
- 3:00 pm + - Optional rehearsal observations, additional career sessions and activities
