The University of Northern Iowa School of Music Symphony Orchestra and Choirs will perform the monumental Mozart Requiem on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 4 p.m. in the Catherine Cassidy Gallagher Great Hall of the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. Mozart's Requiem has long been shrouded in mystery and remains one of the most celebrated works in all of western music. The performance will include the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, the UNI Concert Chorale, and vocal soloists from UNI Opera. "The Requiem is a visceral experience," says conductor John Wiles. "Audiences have been moved by the story and the music for centuries. We are excited to bring it back to the Cedar Valley."
