Voice Lessons
Private voice lessons with UNI Vocal Faculty are available to Seniors and Juniors on Monday, October 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Superior students may be invited to sing a solo at the Grand Finale Concert.
As space is limited, priority is given to qualified Seniors. Students are required to sing one Art Song (e.g., a selection from "24 Italian Songs and Arias"). Selections must be memorized. Students should bring one copy for the voice faculty and one copy for the UNI accompanist, provided free of charge. Each lesson will last approximately 15 minutes. Voice faculty will critique to provide encouragement, and suggestions will be of a positive nature.
After all singers have been heard, the Voice Faculty will invite students to sing in a call back audition to determine those students who will be invited to sing on the Grand Finale Concert.
The UNI Voice Faculty gives freely of their time and expertise; cancellations should be made only in extreme cases. Please be sure to use the lesson times you request and are assigned.
