Northern Iowa Junior Orchestra
Chamber Music Ensembles/Verismo
Summer Orchestra Workshop- August 12-17, 2024; Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and noon performance on Saturday, August 17. Cost: $200 (lunch included). Open to any string student who has completed 8th grade - 12th grade as of Aug. 1, 2024. Students who have completed 7th grade may request consideration. All activities will take place in Russell Hall at UNI. Activities include technique sessions, All-State Prep or chamber sessions, lunch at the UNI Piazza and orchestra rehearsals. Faculty includes Mr. John Chiles, Dr. Erik Rohde, Dr. Nash Ryder, and Dr. Tyler Hendrickson. Please use registration form link below to register before August 5.
Violin Special Performance Group/Fiddlesticks
- Must be an enrolled UNI Suzuki School student
- Must pass an audition
- Does not require an additional fee
- Takes the place of group lessons
- Does not require an ensemble registration
Cello Special Performance Group/Cello Choir
- Must be an enrolled UNI Suzuki School student
- Requires cello instructor's recommendation
- Does not require an additional fee
- Takes the place of group lessons
- Does not require an ensemble registration
