Mixed Voice Choir Auditions

Fall 2024 Audition Information

Admittance to mixed voice choirs is based on competitive audition from students across all majors on campus. Auditions will be held Friday, August 23 to Tuesday, August 27. Auditions will be held in GBPAC 86 or there will be a sign directing you to an alternate location.

If you are a Voice Major/Minor or Panther Music Award Recipient:

  • You have been assigned an audition time. If you are unable to make your audition time, please contact Dr. Wiles by August 15 to try and reschedule. Prepared songs are welcomed in the audition (pianist supplied), but not mandatory.

  • All choirs are open to all majors. We are happy you are joining us! If you cannot find a time that fits in your schedule, contact Dr. Wiles!

Audition Process

‌All voice majors (except for incoming Freshman)

Auditions consist of Vocalization, Sight Singing, and a prepared art song or aria (pianist provided).

All incoming Freshman Voice Majors and Non-Music majors

Vocalization, Sight Singing, and singing the melody to “My Country ‘Tis of Thee’ (sheet music provided)
