Panther Marching Band High School Marching Band Clinic

We are pleased to announce that our High School Marching Band Clinic will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Our clinic is a 1-day event where students interested in honing their skills can choose from one of 3 tracks: Leadership, Drum Majors, and Colorguard for a comprehensive learning and development experience. Each track is designed to help students grow their abilities in a fun and supportive environment with leading clinicians from around the state. 

Our Clinicians

Leadership track: Leon Kuehner, Executive Director, Iowa Alliance for Arts Education

Drum Major track: Jack Frank, Director of Bands, Mount Mercy University, and Meredith Tipping, Instrumental Music Educator in the Johnston Community School District

Colorguard track: Keira Doyle and Rylie Dougherty, Local Colorguard Instructors and UNI Panther Marching Band Colorguard Alumni 

Clinic Information

The cost for the clinic is $89.00 if registered by July 1, and $99.00 if registered after. Fee includes dinner and a t-shirt. Students may register as individuals or band directors may register students as a group. The clinic will run from 8:45am to 7pm with breaks for lunch and dinner. After registration, we will supply a schedule and list of items to bring. For questions, please contact Dr. Justin Mertz, clinic director.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Refunds will be given if written notice is postmarked by July 6, 2025. There will be a $25 processing fee for all refunds. Please note that the submission of the registration form is a commitment to pay the festival fee, regardless of weather conditions. No-shows will be invoiced and subject to collection for the full amount if written notice is not postmarked by July 6, 2025. Refunds will not be given after July 6, 2025.
