Friends of the Panther Marching Band

Each year the Panther Marching Band (PMB) provides exciting halftime shows, in-game music, and tailgating performances for Panther football games and pep rallies. This dedicated students of the Panther Marching Band have helped to build one of the most outstanding college band programs in the Midwest. In addition to performances at Panther athletic events, the Panther Marching Band performs at University and community events and as guests at high school band competitions across the state.

Bands

Panther Marching Band students devote time and energy in preparing the high quality performances that students, alumni, family, and friends enjoy every week in the Dome and on the road. Here is where your support comes in! Due to continually increasing program costs, and the growing number of talented students interested in being a part of the Panther Marching Band, funding for equipment, travel, music, and student scholarship is needed now more than ever. The FRIENDS OF THE PANTHER MARCHING BAND is a great opportunity to help support the outstanding students that work hard every year to offer exciting and exceptional musical performances and bring high-energy support to our teams and behalf of you, the fans and the friends of the UNI Panthers, and the University of Northern Iowa itself.

This year your gift will be used to

  • provide scholarship to band members
  • help repair older equipment and instruments
  • purchase new equipment and instruments, as needed
  • pay for commissioned music and drill written especially for the Panther Bands
  • defray travel expenses

There are giving levels suited for any contribution amount, including several fun and easy ways that you can join the FRIENDS and support the Panther Marching Band

Spirit Song Gifts

Give a Spirit Song Gift corresponding to one of the Panther Spirit Songs performed in the UNI Pregame Show: 

  • $5000 - UNI Fight Song
  • $2500 - Westward Yo!
  • $1000 - Cats!
  • $500 - Alma Mater

Adopt a PMB Section!

For an investment of $250 or more, you can adopt a section of the band for a year. Do you remember marching in the band and wish to sponsor "your" section? Help the trombones take care of all needed repairs this year. Offer the flute section the help they need with uniform replacements. You may adopt any of the following sections: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Mellophone, Trombone, Baritone, Tube, Drumline, Colorguard, or Feature Twirler.

‌Everything helps! Any size gift to the Panther Marching Band is welcomed. If you have an idea other than one of the above, please contact the UNI Foundations so that we can customize a giving plan for you. 

All gifts of $250 or more will receive a complimentary copy of the latest CD recording from the Panther Marching Band.
