Camper Information
Everything you need to know for an AWESOME week at Camp Musicmania!
Welcome to the campus of the University of Northern Iowa! Camp Musicmania mainly takes place in one of the two buildings that house the School of Music, Russell Hall (2601 Minnesota Street, Cedar Falls).
Russell Hall
The Russell Hall Lobby is located on the east side of the building and is where campers will need to check-in on their first day of camp.
Following the first day, campers will check-in with their group leader at their assigned spot in Bengtson Auditorium. This is also where students in grades 1 - 3 will need to be picked up from their group leader at the end of the day. The entrance to Bengtson is adjacent to the lobby.
The Music Department Office is located in Russell 115. Any campers arriving late should report to the office and they will be taken to their group. Students leaving early will need to meet the adult picking them up at the office.
Kamerick Art Building
The Kamerick Art Building is located a short walk from Russell Hall. Campers will participate in classes in the art education room throughout the week.
A campus map can be found online.
At Camp Musicmania, we value the time we get to spend with our campers.
Our hope is that their time at camp is full of great memories, discovering new things, and making friends.

What to wear?
- Thank you for sending your child to camp with appropriate clothing with logos/graphic designs that are friendly and considerate.
- Please avoid flip- flops and slides, as tennis shoes work best for our activities.
- Campers will be going outside. Please check the weather and plan accordingly. Umbrellas on rainy days are ok to bring to camp.
Lunch & Snacks
- Students will need to bring their own lunch each day. You can place their lunch bag in the basket with their group leader’s name at the beginning of the day in the Russell lobby. This is also where you will pick up their lunch bags at the end of the day. Please put their names on any of your child’s belongings.
- Any found items (seems to usually be water bottles - haha!) will be placed on a table in the Russell lobby.
- A snack will be provided each day. Please let the camp director know if your camper has any food allergies.
Medications
- If your camper needs to take any medications during the day, please speak with the camp director.

Day 1
- All campers will need to check-in at the welcome tables in the Russell lobby. Here campers will be told the name of their group leader.
- Baskets will be in the lobby for lunch bags. Place the lunch bag in the basket for your camper’s group. This is also where you will pick up lunch bags at the end of the day.
- You will then take your camper to their group leader at their assigned spot in Bengtson Auditorium. There will be signs and Camp Musicmania staff to help find your camper’s group.
Days 1 - 5
- Campers will need to be checked in with their group leaders at their designated spot in Bengtson each morning.
- Campers in grades 1-3 need to be checked out at the end of the day with their group leaders. Those campers in 5th grade and above can leave at the end of the day and find their ride home.
