Flute Day

Join Dr. Hannah Porter-Occeña and the University of Northern Iowa Flute Studio for UNI Flute Day. This event will feature All-State Mock Auditions, mini-lessons with Dr. Occeña, instrument demos, a guest artist masterclass, and a final concert featuring the Flute Day guest artists, Dr. Porter-Occeña and the UNI Wind Ensemble.
Schedule
- 11:30-12 pm - Check-in/registration in Russell Hall Lobby
- 12-12:50 pm - All-State Mock Auditions in Graham Hall | mini-lessons with Dr. Occeña in RSL 121 | Instrument demos in RSL 116
- 1-2:30 pm - Guest artist master class with Jonathan Borja in Graham Hall
- 2:30-3 pm - Snack break and Q&A with UNI flute students
- 3 pm - Guest artist recital with Jonathan Borja, flute, and Camille Balleza, piano, also featuring Dr. Occeña and the UNI Wind Ensemble under the direction of Danny Galyen
- 4:30 pm - end of day
