Ryan Gruman

Ryan joined the Guild of Carillonneurs in the Spring of 2022 and served for two semesters as our Vice President. His favorite song to play on the carillon is the UNI Alma Mater. When asked if he’d rather be a bell or a brick, Ryan said bell so everyone could hear him. Speaking of bells, Ryan’s favorite memory of the campanile is when he first got to look out onto the belfry and see all the bells up close. He also loves the view from the top of the campanile, which he enjoys to sharing with his friends and family when he brings them up to the top to hear him play. When Ryan’s not chiming he can be found serving as a Panther Marching Band drum major, listening to music, spending time at St. Stephen’s Catholic Student Center, and hanging out with friends. His favorite memory at UNI so far is getting to travel with the UNI Wind Ensemble this past spring. Ryan will graduate in the Fall of 2023 with a degree in Instrumental Music Education.
