Bethany Washington began playing the violin at the age of four through the Suzuki Method.  She received her M.M. (performance) from the University of Northern Iowa and B.M. (performance) from the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University.  While at UNI, she began studying viola with Julia Bullard.  Previous violin tachers include Steve Koh, Ross Winter, Amy Schwartz-Moretti, Robert McDuffie, David Kim, David Halen, and Samantha George.  Bethany began Suzuki Method teacher training in high school and continued training and observing Suuzki teachers while completing her performance degrees.  Her Suzuki trainers include Nancy Lokken, Edward Kreitman, Pat D-Ercole and Judy Bossuat-Gallic.  Bethany is a member of the Des Moines Symphony and wcfsymphony.
