Lydia Watkins

Lydia Watkins grew up in North Dakota and started taking piano lessons at age nine. Lydia earned her bachelor’s degree in performance from Valley City State University. During her time at VCSU she had the opportunity to perform, teach, and collaborate with artists. She previously held a teaching position with the VCSU Community School
of the Arts. She also had the opportunity to collaborate with the VCSU choir. Lydia has participated in festivals and competitions including the ND MTNA state competition and Bismarck-Mandan Concerto Competition.
 

Lydia is currently in the process of completing her master’s degree in in piano pedagogy at the University of Northern Iowa. Her professional goal is to have her private piano studio.
