Christine Compton is a teacher, performer, and collaborative pianist in the Cedar Valley. Her music career has involved ensembles such as the University of Northern Iowa Cecilian’s Choir, the University of Montevallo Jazz Band, and church choirs/praise bands. Christine enjoys teaching piano to students of all ages who are eager to learn, grow, and have fun. She believes that music helps students not just become better musicians, but to become better well-rounded people. Christine is a collaborative pianist for local musicians and a substitute church pianist for the Cedar Valley community. 

Ms. Compton obtained her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Northern Iowa in 2023. There she served as a Graduate Assistant, teaching group piano, and accompanied undergraduate music students for performances. She also holds a degree from the University of Montevallo and previously held a teaching position at Riverchase Fine Arts Academy in Birmingham, Alabama. Her previous primary instructors include Eun-Hee Park and Vakhtang Kodanashvili.
