On Wednesday, November 12 the UNI School of Music hosted the final round of the annual Concerto Competition. The winner of this year's event was
Chad Schmertmann, piano, student of Sean Botkin. Chad will perform the 1st movement of Shostakovich Piano Concerto #2 with UNI Symphony Orchestra on March 12th.
Second place winner was Natalie Neshyba, flute, student of Angeleita Floyd.
Third place was shared between Mara Miller, flute, student of Angeleita Floyd and James Mick, piano, student of Sean Botkin.
Additionally, the audience favorite was Brent Mead, trombone, student of Anthony Williams.
