The String Pedagogy track is ideal for talented string students who wish to pursue careers as private studio instructors while fully developing their performance skills.

In addition to courses in music theory, music history, string literature, ensembles and lessons, students take specialized courses in string pedagogy (methodology of teaching stringed instruments) and participate in internships to gain first-hand experience in teaching in individual and group settings.

Our string pedagogy majors go on to successful careers as private studio instructors, chamber music coaches and more.
