Music B.A.: General Studies

The General Studies in Music track is designed for students who currently perform music in a casual or limited way that wish to learn more about the historical and theoretical components that shape the art form, or those who studied music in the past who wish to reacquaint themselves.

This degree program celebrates the essential and enriching role music plays in the lives of students across the university. Course offerings cover a wide range of musical styles, cultures and eras, and are designed for all students.

Graduates go on to careers at instrument companies or music stores (owner, manager, sales), or in media development, merchandise management, radio (programming, research, management). Others continue their studies in a focused graduate program.
