Violette Quartet is a flute ensemble made up of four music performance majors at the University of Northern Iowa. Our mission as an ensemble is simple: to blossom music in various communities and share the joy of live performance with people of all backgrounds.

The group—Bethany Winget, Jenny Valenzuela, Hannah LaCroix, and Aldo Escalera—study under UNI’s Flute Professor, Dr. Hannah Porter-Occeña. Our ensemble enjoys exploring a wide range of music, from classical works to modern pieces, and showing the many colors and voices of the flute.

We have performed at events such as the Chamber Music Concert in February, the Women’s History Month Celebration at the Cedar Falls Library, and the UNI Food Festival. Each of these performances has given us the chance to connect with audiences and bring music into the heart of the Cedar Falls community.

The members of Violette Quartet believe that music brings people together and creates lasting memories. If you would like your event to feature a quartet of dedicated and passionate musicians, please contact us—we would love to help blossom music in your community!
