MASTER OF MUSIC: Major in Composition
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Students in the MM Composition Program receive individualized instruction with our composition faculty, opportunities to have their works performed each semester, and receive outstanding supplemental training in music technology, music theory and analysis, and music literature. Opportunities for electives and applied study further enhance the experience of our graduate composition students. Recent students in our program have been accepted to prestigious doctoral programs, have had compositions premiered by professional performers in the US and abroad, and have had readings of their works by ensembles in residence and visiting artists such as Fifth House Ensemble (Chicago).
