Kate VanGorp

Originally from Carlisle, Iowa, Kate VanGorp is a undergraduate student majoring in Instrumental Music Education at the University of Northern Iowa. 

While at UNI, Kate has performed with the UNI Wind Ensemble, the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, and the Panther Marching Band. She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Alpha Upsilon Chapter, a professional music fraternity. Outside of playing bassoon, Kate enjoys being a buddy for the UNI Spectrum Project, a program that brings the arts to kids with disabilities.

Having previously studied bassoon with Dr. Brisa de Paula, Kate loves exploring new genres of music to listen to and play.
