Charlotte Ottemoeller
Saxophone Teacher
Charlotte Ottemoeller has been involved in music her whole life. She began with piano lessons, leading her to percussion, and eventually the saxophone. Now in her 3rd year of undergrad in the music education program at UNI, she has been in numerous ensembles including the panther marching band, UNI symphonic band, jazz band, a saxophone quartet, and the UNI wind ensemble. She currently studies classical saxophone with Dr. Ann Bradfield.
Charlotte enjoys traveling and has been to many countries including: Botswana, Cambodia, France, Ireland, Thailand, and Vietnam. In her free time she likes to spend time outside with friends and family. She also enjoys spending time at home with her cat named Sushi and playing Fortnite with her friends.
Charlotte aspires to be a music educator who instills a long-term passion for music in her students. Meeting students at their level– whether it’s beginning or advanced– she is excited to offer saxophone lessons to help students grow as musicians. Charlotte emphasizes the importance of adapting music lessons to fit the students needs and interests. Ultimately, she hopes to encourage her students to keep music in their lives forever– even if they do not pursue it professionally.
