Akela Salter

Akela Salter is a Choral Music Education Major and Mezzo- Soprano. She has performed in several ensembles at UNI, including the Concert Choral, Cecilians, and UNI singers. Most recently, Akela performed in the opera Suor Angelica at UNI on the Great Hall stage. In addition to her school and ensemble responsibilities, Akela currently serves as a Children’s Choir assistant for the UNI Children's Choir. After graduation, Akela would like to pursue a career teaching choir at a Middle or High School.

In addition to working at Camp Musicmania,  Akela is excited to be traveling to Italy this summer with the UNI Cecilians. While at home, she looks forward to working at Starbucks, and hanging out with her sisters.
